My lifestyle shoots are a fun , free form alternative to the more traditional portrait shoot. Generally the shoots take place out on location. This can be somewhere that is special to you – maybe the location of your first date, the place you always went on childhood holidays or just somewhere you fancy going! The shoots can be as intimate as you want – maybe a quiet woodland walk, or as outrageous as you dare – a fashion style shoot in the middle of the city. If you are stuck for ideas I am always happy to make suggestions – I have a seemingly endless supply of ideas which can be based on your personality. How about a themed shoot?
A lifestyle shoot lasts about 2 hours during which we will explore a number of different backdrops at your location, or if suitable, move from place to place shooting as we go. Some of the shots will be “set up” rather than posed although I am always on hand to suggest what looks good. My work with a model agency provides me with a feel as to what looks contemporary, editorial, high end fashion or, just plain cool!! Other shots will be candid moments I notice as we are setting up shots. All the finished photographs will then form a gallery of images from which we can create any number of beautiful products for you from, canvas or acrylic wall hangings, coffee table books, funky slide show set to music or simple prints for you to frame.
A number of my wedding packages include a lifestyle shoot as a “pre wedding shoot”. These make a great “get to know you” session prior to your wedding and many clients have the images made into a fabulous guest signing book for the wedding. Lifestyle shoots start from £95.
