I have seen the phrase “Brides Dress Revisited” used on several website now although believe it was me that first used it in jest. It was originally an idea that, like so many others, travelled from America and was called trash the dress. I think it was this expression that put many brides off the idea. Think about it – you have had your wedding and spent a fortune on a beautiful dress so that you could look stunning on your special day. Why on earth would you want to trash it?
It’s simple you don’t need to trash it – which is why I came up with the term Brides dress revisited. As well as being a neat pun on a book and old TV series, it better describes what the shoot session is about. Why not give your dress one last outing before you have it cleaned and stick it in the wardrobe/loft for ever more.
The shoots are not so much about spoiling the dress but having fun in it without the concerns for its wellbeing you may have had on your wedding day. The sessions are designed to create highly stylized fashion type images. Think Calvin Klein or Vogue. Often I shoot with just the bride although there is no reason that the boys can’t join in too – it’s up to you.
These sessions are usually 1-2 hours in duration and start at £95. For my own brides who book these sessions with a wedding package they are from £75
