Rob Ward

I love people and photography - a great combination for what I do.

Being a photographer, for me, is not a job, it is a way of life and I consider myself fortunate to get paid for what I would be doing anyway. I love life and like to spread good vibes. I have a camera with me constantly - even when I am not shooting a commission I will have my small pocket camera on hand. I see pictures everywhere and am attracted to light, patterns and textures .I see animals in clouds  and faces in the flames of a log fire. I always look for the humour in any situation.

My home and studio are in Brundall where I live with my wife, Rachel, small son, Daniel, and Dudley the spaniel. No 1 son, Adam is a snowboard instructor. My daughter, Hannah lives in Birmingham and is a researcher on BBC's Countryfile.

When I am not behind a camera or sitting in front of a computer we like to head for the beach - my current favourite is Winterton. Creating is important to all the family - our house is full of art - whether it be pottery, drawing, painting or knitting there is always some project on the go - we are not tidy people!!  My current passion is shooting and editing music videos. When there is time I unwind by racing my RS dinghy at Hickling Broad.
